Buckeye (NYSE: BPL), Plains GP (NYSE: PGAP) join Alerian Energy Infrastructure Index

Today, Alerian announced that Buckeye Partners LP and Plains GP Holdings will be added to the Alerian Energy Infrastructure Index (CME: AMEI) on December 20.

The AMEI already includes 30 North American energy infrastructure providers that transport, store, and process energy commodities. Enbridge, TransCanada, SemGroup, and Spectra Energy are among the current participants in the index.

With the addition of Plains GP, Plains All American LP and Crosstex Energy Inc. will be removed.
