Newpark Resources (NYSE: NR) Sells off Environmental Services Business

Texas-based drilling fluids and materials company Newpark Resources announced on Tuesday that it will be selling its Environmental Services business to Ecoserv LLC, a Colorado-based environmental services holding company under investment firm Lariat Partners. Newpark will receive $100 million in cash for the business, and the deal will close within the first quarter of 2014.
