China Shale Boom Coming

Shale gas has been made a priority in China, and in less than ten years, China’s so-called “shale gas revolution” is set to begin.

As I’ve mentioned before, if China gets even close to the kind of success we’ve had here, China could eventually put the kibosh on most of its coal-fired power generation. And make no mistake about it – billions are being wagered on China’s shale future.

In fact, earlier this year, Shell (NYSE:RDS-A) announced that it was going to invest more than $1 billion a year to develop China’s shale gas deposits. And that’s just one producer with skin in the game. So needless to say, we’re paying close attention to any new media coverage on shale developments coming out of China.
