The gold-rich soil of Timmins, Ontario is proving to be a bit richer than Temex Resources Gorp (FWB:TQ1) had originally forecast. Tuesday, the low-risk Canadian gold mining company announced an update to its mineral resources estimate for the Whitney Gold Property in Timmins, Ontario Canada. According to the company, there is actually 87 percent more gold in the 3 grams per tonne cut-off grade sensitivity than had been estimated back in September of 2012.

Located at 500 meters’ depth, the company had originally planned to use open pit extraction methods to reach this particular vein of gold, but these reports suggest it might be better suited for bulk underground mining.
