President Trump is about to drop the n-bomb soon — Nuclear.
If you had something else in mind, then perhaps it's a good idea to hop off social media for a bit, and shame on me for exploiting it. But hey, while you’re here let’s push aside the clickbait this one time and discover something truly good happening inside the U.S. energy sector.
This certainly isn't the first time we’ve heard the President tout about the potential of nuclear energy; the Trump administration is well known for being in favor of a true “all-of-the-above” energy strategy for U.S. energy dominance.
And make no mistake, nuclear energy is a win-win situation for such a goal. It is the largest and cleanest source of energy that can supply the kind of reliable baseload power that can meet our powerful demand for electricity.
Remember, having a strong baseload power supply is critical to avoiding catastrophic disasters like the one we saw in Spain’s power grid last week.
Granted, the veteran members of our investment community know full well that President Trump is ready to go full-speed ahead in developing the United States’ nuclear capacity.
Google’s Exploitation of Trump’s Nuclear Ambitions
This week, Axios reported that the White House will soon release its plans to give our nuclear industry a boost. The goal is to significantly speed up the deployment of nuclear reactors by avoiding licensing delays.
President Trump’s interest in next-gen nuclear technology isn’t a surprise to anyone, is it? It probably doesn’t sit well with the President that China is far outpacing us in deploying the world’s first SMR.
I'd bet it’s eating at him inside more than he lets on, and it’s about time his administration does something about it.
If he truly wants programs like Project Stargate to succeed, it’s become clear that we’re going to have to bring A LOT of power on-line to meet demand. In fact, this upcoming Executive Order to accelerate nuclear power development would fall right in line with boosting our domestic AI infrastructure.
It’s also become clear that the world’s biggest tech companies are right on board, too.

Throughout 2024, the hype over advanced nuclear power reached a crescendo as companies like Google announced partnerships with SMR players like Kairos Power.
Keep in mind that this push for next-gen nuclear reactors like SMRs comes at a time when the U.S. currently has no nuclear power plants under construction. These power plants can take billions of dollars and years to build. In fact, the last reactor to come online was the Vogtle Unit 4 in Georgia last April, nearly a year after Unit 3 came online.
But now we know Google is going full-steam ahead to capitalize on President Trump’s nuclear ambitions. The company inked a deal with Elementl Power this week to develop three project sites for advanced reactors that will generate at least 600 MW apiece.
Look, it’s all-too-easy for us to get excited over Google’s nuclear ambitions going forward.
Not only was there opportunity in traditional nuclear utilities like Constellation Energy, which operates the largest fleet of nuclear plants totalling more than 22 GW of capacity, but an even bigger payday was to be found in next-gen nuclear technology.
But is the future really in these small modular reactors? Do they really hold the potential to satisfy these hyperscalers’ intense demand growth ahead? After all, they’re the ones with an insatiable appetite for power as more data centers pop up.
If you’re new to the concept of SMRs, think of them like a giant LEGO castle. Keep this in mind… traditional nuclar power plants are huge, takes years to build, and if you mess up one piece, the whole thing gets delayed.
Now picture building a bunch of small LEGO forts instead. You make them in a factory, ship them out already built, and snap them into place wherever you want. That’s what these SMRs will be like — they’re tiny versions of nuclear power plants.
Instead of being as big as a football stadium, an SMR might be the size of a school gym. You build them in a factory, then ship them by truck or train, and just plug them in where energy is needed.
They’re safer too — like having a pool that never spills over because it’s built to handle anything. And if one “fort” has a problem, the others keep working. You can start with one, and then add more later. It's like stacking more LEGOs to build a bigger base.
SMR stocks like Oklo Inc. (NYSE: OKLO) have been on a strong run since early April, and have managed to shrug off the market’s volatility with ease over the last few weeks.
But here’s the catch…
President Trump’s push to accelerate our next-gen nuclear technology — along with Big Tech embracing nuclear energy — will ultimately keep the momentum for companies like Oklo going forward.
However, the smart money is seeing a bigger advantage inside those niche nuclear energy stocks. The real opportunity isn’t trying to find the company that’ll win the race to deploy the United States’ first SMR, but rather to find the investment gems that’ll take advantage of whoever wins.
It’s not necessarily about who’s building them — it’s about who’s going to fuel them!
That’s what makes the early stages of our next-gen nuclear development so exciting. Let me show you firsthand the nuclear stock that'll be on top no matter who wins the SMR race.

P.S. Trump Just Killed the IRS — and It Could Put $21,307 in Your Pocket
Trump just signed a historic executive order to abolish the IRS as we know it — replacing taxes with direct payouts from a $1 trillion national investment fund. Everyday Americans could soon collect checks worth up to $21,307… but only if they act before the first wave goes out.
