A new group going by the name the National Solar Schools Consortium launched at the National Science Teachers Association Conference in Boston on Thursday. The group is made up of nonprofits and solar energy companies that are looking to act as a single voice promoting solar energy for K-12 and secondary schools.
The company launched with a few goals to achieve by the year 2020: to have 20,000 solar installations at schools and universities, to have 200 districts with solar initiatives, and to have 2,000 member organizations. Right now, there are twelve charter member organizations, and the executive committee includes the CEO of SolSolution, and the president of the Foundation for Environmental Education.
It’s Time to buy SolarCity (NASDAQ: SCTY)
Short-term dips in price related to earnings guidance open up brilliant opportunities for investors, and SolarCity is in the midst of one of these. Targets are significantly higher than the current price, pretty much across the board, and we think shares are a bargain.
