Martin Marietta Materials (NYSE: MLM) Sees Gains on Construction Recovery

Today, North Carolina’s Martin Marietta Materials is reporting double-digit revenue and earnings growth in the third quarter of 2013. The company’s improved performance was thanks to a recovery in private-sector construction, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics says has grown in the last five months.

MLM, which deals in aggregate, chemical, and composite material, again claims to have set records in sales and earnings in its “Specialty Products” business which includes the production of magnesium oxide and hydroxide. That particular segment has seen growth every year for MLM since 2008.
