SolarCity (NASDAQ:SCTY) Expands Customer Base

SolarCity  has teamed up with retail energy provider Viridian in an effort to expand its customer base. The two companies are now offering a combined clean energy package to customers in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts, and Maryland. The package will allow homeowners to use a SolarCity array for their daily power, and rely on Viridian’s network for their energy needs at night, allowing for 100 percent renewable energy use. The companies plan to expand the partnership to additional markets in 2014. SolarCity should benefit by accessing Viridian’s already enviornmentally conscious consumer base.

If we take a look at Texas’s oil supply, we see a clear winner in tight oil production, specifically in one county. To learn more about this budding opportunity, click here.
