CJSC Northgas’ North Urengoy field will double output in 2014

Gazprom (OTCMKTS: OGZPY) announced that CJSC Northgas, a joint venture with OAO Novatek, has commissioned the East Dome of the North Urengoy field to vastly increase gas production.

The field contains 18 production wells, and includes the capacity for 6 billion cubic meters of gas annually. The addition of this capacity will raise the total capacity of the field to more than 10 billion cubic meters of commercial-grade gas, and 1.4 million tons of condensate annually.

The North Urengoy West Dome first launched in 2001, and has produced 2.9 billion cubic meters of gas and 290,000 tons of gas condensate in the first 9 months of 2013. The East Dome location has gathering networks and pipelines connected to the West Dome.
