Musk himself said, “‘We expect to invest tens of millions of dollars in the UAE for charging, service and support infrastructures… By next year, you’ll be able to travel anywhere in the GCC with an electric vehicle.’” Musk attended an event on February 13th in the U.A.E. that represented the start of Tesla in the country.

Tesla is going to be taking orders for their Model S Sedan and their Model X SUV for delivery in the summer. They plan on opening a service center in July, and a store and service center in Abu Dhabi next year. There are already two charging stations in Dubai, and Tesla plans on opening up five more by the end of the year.
