Inspired by the popular Australian kangaroo gold coin series, The Perth Mint struck this record-breaking piece of change that measures nearly a yard wide and five inches thick in .9999 fine gold.

At the unveiling of the coin, Ed Harbuz, CEO of The Perth Mint, commented, “To cast and handcraft a coin of this size and weight was an incredible challenge, one which few other mints would not even consider.”
